The Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 12 of the United Nations, which strives to promote sustainable consumption and production patterns, is one of the objectives of ATL's ESG strategy. ATL started a number of initiatives as part of this commitment, establishing a single-use plastic free business is just one of them, which has since been implemented at all of its operational locations, including substations, transmission line clusters, and retail locations.

A circular economy for plastics can be attained by 2030 with the use of this certification, which is good from February 22, 2023, to February 21, 2024. The company has received various certificates, including the "Zero Waste to Landfill certification," the "Water Positive certification," and the "Single-use Plastic Free Company," as a result of its efforts to become single-use plastic free. With these certificates, ATL becomes the first Indian electrical utility to obtain all three, highlighting the organisation's dedication to sustainability and social responsibility.

ATL has established a goal to reach 25% renewable energy by 2025 and is investing in renewable energy in addition to other sustainability initiatives. Along with lowering its carbon footprint, the company's investment in renewable energy will help India meet its renewable energy targets.

In conclusion, India's sustainable development is greatly impacted by Adani Transmission Limited's dedication to ESG and SDG targets. ATL is lessening its environmental footprint and promoting a more sustainable future through its sustainability programme. ATL is a pioneer in the Indian electrical utility industry and is paving the way for other businesses to follow in its efforts to eliminate single-use plastics and invest in renewable energy.
